Where are my other pin types?

If you are not seeing all the expected pin types in the FireArrest app, it is likely due to how they have been set up. This guide will help you understand a few checks that can be completed to ensure that your pins are visible on the app.

Check 1: Pin type has been saved

The first check is the most obvious, but it is still important to check as things like this can happen. First access the admin centre and head towards the admin area and then to pin types. This is where you can check that the pin type you are after has been saved onto the system. If it is not there, try to recreate your desired pin and make sure you select submit.

If you do not have access to the dashboard, please contact you administration about your issue with the pin type. This can be done using the email function in the app

Check 2: Pin Type not assigned
  1. Once it has been confirmed that the pin type has been successfully saved then it is important to check whether the pin type has been assigned to the correct service type. Access the admin centre and head towards the admin area and then to service types/materials. From here select service types and find the relevant service type you would like the pin type to be assigned to.  From here, select the edit service type button and then select the desired pin type from the dropdown menu. Once this has been done make sure you select submit.

Check 3: Updates have been synced to the app

Once the above points have been checked, it is important that the latest data from the dashboard has been synced to the app. When you open the app for the first time and log in, there is a green button in the bottom right called ‘Sync Data’. Select this button a couple of times and all the most recent information from the dashboard will now be accessible on the app.

It is important to note that the ‘Sync Data’ button will only work if the app is connected to the internet either via Wi-Fi or mobile date (if turned on for the FireArrest app).

Check 4: Correct service type is used

Finally, it is important to check that the correct service type has been used on the pin that you are trying to create/edit. When using the app and dropping/editing a pin make sure that the correct service type has been highlighted and that this has been selected.
