Pin Numbering Mode, What is it and How does it work?
FireArrest offers different pin numbering modes to give you control over how each pin is labelled during work on site. These modes determine how numbers are generated and displayed as pins are added. This guide explains each mode, how they work and how this affects the output of a project.

Per Drawing Sequence
The Per drawing sequence was the FireArrest standard across all projects before the Pin Numbering Mode feature was introduced.
Each pin is numbered sequentially (e.g. 1, 2, 3…) within each drawing. An operative may be auto-assigned a different character in each drawing of a project as it is based on when they accessed the drawing.

Per Drawing + Unique Operative
The Per Drawing + Unique Operative works by assigning an operative a consistent project-wide character (e.g. a, b, c…). Pins are numbered sequentially within each drawing and suffixed with the operative’s character (e.g. 1A, 2A, 3A…).
This is a good option if you would like to keep track of what work each individual operative is doing across a project.
Project-Wise Sequence + Unique Operative
The project-wise sequence + unique operative works by continuously numbering pins across all drawings in a project. Each operative has a unique character. Example: Drawing 1: 1A, 2A, 3A, Drawing 2: 4A, 5A, 6A. If the next pin is place back on drawing 1 it will be 7A
This is a good option if you would like to track the progression of work onsite and what work an individual operative is doing.
Please be aware that the Pin Numbering Mode can only be selected when creating a project and once it has been saved, it cannot be edited.
