How to create a pin

Creating a pin in the FireArrest app is the first step in recording fire protection work on site. Pins are used to mark locations where work is being carried out, and they hold all the related forms, photos and details for that spot. This guide will walk you through how to create a new pin, so your work is accurately record and easy to track.

Steps to creating a pin
  • Once you are logged in, select Clients.
  • Select the desired client.
  • Select the desired project.
  • Select the desired drawing.
  • Press and hold on the screen in the desired location.
  • Select Yes.
  • Enter Location Description.
  • (Optional) Select Service Type.
  • Enter Measurement type.
  • (Optional) Enter Notes.
  • (Optional) Select Materials.
  • Enter measurements.
  • (Optional) Select Fire Rating.
  • Select desired Pin type.
  • (Optional) Select Take Photo and select the desired option.
  • Fill out form if required.
  • Select save.
  • Select Back.
  • Select Save.

Your pin will now be visible on your drawing in the location you have selected.

Once a pin has been dropped, it can be edited if there are any details that are wrong or missing or moved if it is in the wrong location. Learn more… How to edit a pin.
