Pin Types
Pin types in FireArrest are used to visually represent different actions, statuses or items on site. They help to keep your data organised and allow you to manage activity across a site efficiently. Pin types are fully customisable, allowing you to tailor them to your service types and workflows for better clarity and control.

Add a Pin Type
- First head to the admin area within the dashboard and then select Pin Types.
- From here, select the add button in the top right corner.
- Now you will be presented with the Pin Type add page, input the label you would like to call your pin. For example, damaged.
- Select the colour you would like the pin to be
- Select submit.
Assigning a Pin Type
Once a pin type has been created, it must be assigned to a service type before it is visible on the app.
- Go to the admin area and select Service Types/Materials.
- From here select Service Types and locate the desired service type.
- Once this has been found, select the edit button located in the action area.
- From the Pin Type list select the correct pin type from the dropdown.
- Select submit.
Deleting a Pin Type
Deleting a Pin Type is a simple process that will not affect the pins that have already been saved.
- Go to the admin area and select Pin types.
- Locate the desired pin.
- Select the Delete button in the action area.
- Select Yes to confirm.
