Service Types

Service Types are a vital part to the of the FireArrest ecosystem. This allows your operatives to differentiate the type of work they are doing on site and allows you to calculate the cost for the service.

There are multiple aspects to Service Types that may appear to be a bit daunting when first using them, however, do not fear! They are actually quite simple once you understand each aspect.

Add a Service Type

When adding a service type there are multiple fields to fill out and some are not necessary when you first start.

  1. The first area is title. This is the name of the service that you provide. For example, fire door inspection, Fire door survey and Intumescent Paint.

       2. Then add a description to the Service Type. This could include when to use this service type, or other relevant information.

       3. Next is Unit Measure, this is used to record the cost of each service type. There are four options, Area of a circle, Area of a square, Unit quantity and no measurement.

       4. You can input an Internal Reference for each Service Type.

       5. Now you can assign multiple forms to a service type which can be created in the form area

       6. If a Unit of Measure has been inputted, then you will be prompted to input a cost for this service type.

       7. Finally, you can assign multiple types of pins to each service type which are created in the Pin area. These can be used to signal what work needs to be completed or what work has been done.

Once all the fields have been completed, please select save and you will see your new service type in the Service Type List.
